Resumen
Introdução: As fraturas do colo do fêmur nas crianças são raras, correspondendo à cerca de 1% das fraturas na infância. Objetivo: Descrever uma série de dez pacientes com fratura do fêmur proximal, tratados no período entre 2011 a 2022, relacionando o mecanismo de trauma, o tipo da fratura, sua forma de tratamento e a evolução para possíveis complicações.
Métodos: Realizado um estudo retrospectivo, com idade variando entre zero a dezesseis anos, não sendo incluídas fraturas patológicas no estudo, sendo cada fratura classificada por Delbet.
Resultados: O índice total de complicações atingiu 50%. A média de idade foi 8,9 anos, sendo ambos os lados igualmente afetados. Fraturas do tipo II por Delbet foram as mais encontradas, seguidas tipo III e menor frequência a do tipo I e IV. As complicações evidenciadas foram necrose avascular da cabeça, dismetria, pseudoartrose, fechamento prematuro da fise e perda da redução com necessidade de reabordagem. Conclusão: Os autores chamam à atenção para a raridade das fraturas, porém, com alto índice de complicações.
